time for an update? holy sh!t did xanga change a lot of stuff >.> anyway. i didn't ace my engineering test like i thought i did. lots of small stupid errors and i ended up with a 84. the average was a 70 and the median was a 72. so my 84 is okay. the class is scary. top 30% get's A next 30% B, next 30% C and 10% fails with D/F. well i guess that means a lot of us get to pass. my professor doesn't really teach, but then again, i'm sleeping a lot of the time. i think about 1/3 of the class already dropped or switched sections. started getting bored of RO until tonight when my guild leader told me to level and suddenly i felt like leveling a bit. lol. starting to yoyo a little more. i can almost juggle 2 yoyo's. yay! ryan is my new idol. he breakdances, he yoyo's, he can backflip, and he's friends with this hot girl (who's probably his gf actually).

started missing programming, so i want to do CS again, but CE is fun too. so i was thinking about double majoring CS and CE. it shouldn't add that many classes i think, since they are related. and also, i wanted to study abroad, in japan (and put that 4yrs of japanese at paly into good use) /taiwan/china, probably in the summers, so that can ease the workload of a double major. i'll just be in school all the time, but if i go abroad it could be awesome.

well time for the 2nd week of school. monday classes meh. good thing i finished my hw. during this weekend, there was some kind of DOS attack on the server so everyone's internet died. well, i got out of my room and went to the TASC meeting. it was pretty nice. got to meet a lot of ppl. found out sharlene comes from saratoga, so any one know a "sharlene wu" from saratoga? i'm not sure which year she graduated, but i do know she's a 3rd yr at UIUC, and i checked her pf and it also says she was at MIT from 2000-2001 and Duke 2001-2002 o.o i think she's majoring double e. anyway~ this one girl reminded me of sue (o.o) and another one reminded me of cathy >.> well back to RO, b/c i'm a loser

so today was first day of class. it was a monday schedule, since we get monday off for labor day and school ends on a thursday and this way all classes get the same amount of times to meet. today i had physics first. it seems like a cool class. my professor enjoys blowing up things and showing physics through demonstrations b/c he's "a nerd." It mechanical, so nice easy review stuff. fun. next was math 213. wow, it seems easy too. it's suppose to be basics to computers, so it was all logic and wenn diagrams and sets and crap like that. next class was ECE 110. omfg it's scary, mainly b/c it's curved. top 30% get A's, next 30% get B's, then 30% C's, and bottom 10% get D/F's. >.> after that was math 242. wow, most of my class is freshmen, about 80-90%. lots of asians in that class too. haha. that was my last class of the day. i ate breakfast today since i slept past dinner, but i slept past lunch today too >.<

so today was quad day. got up around 11am, showered, ate lunch with roomies (adam, andrew) and andrew's friend (jessica). then off to quad day (after we picked up jessica's roomy, colleen). i'm getting these names down yay. joined a couple clubs, or i should say signed up for. first one was some club about combining engineering and business. the next one was relay for life. and then some asian (something) association (AAA), and taiwan american students (TAS). while i went to sign up for TAS, i saw that girl who was head of my group during engineer orientation. i think she's sharlene wu, not sure on her last name. a junior. i was the "lost kid" at engineering orientation since i switched from CS to ECE, so i had no idea who's group to join. of course i'll join the asian chick's group XD. engineering orientation was yesterday, but it was fun. we had to build boats out of aluminum foil and straws. our group did the best out of all the engineers. by group i mean a large group, but we got split into groups of 4. my group of 4 placed 3rd with 109 washers i think. 2nd was 130 something and 1st was 150+ washers. weee. class starts in 9 hrs so i'm sleeping. gnite!

edit: oh yeah. my first thought when i got to this college was: "wtf, there are so many asians." i was told a lot of tw ppl came here, but damn, there's a lot of asians. especially since in the town (as in the real towns around this place), everyone is black or white. anyway i'm ready. i think. "我是福州人~" but in taiwanese = = ah whatever happens happens. frankly i don't care. maybe i'm being bias, but none of the girls here are very attractive. ;p

stupid mozilla lost my entry. okay. i'm at uiuc. it's got weird weather and really loud thunder. it's raining atm. sucks. oh well, at least it's not sweaty hot. trying to change my major from computer science to computer engineering. my classes suck for my schedule. gdi, why do so many ppl take physics and why is physics such a crappy class T.T
